Obtaining optimum psychological health is a primary goal of human life. To this end, we seek out experts in the field and learn about the underlying mechanisms that support a healthy mind and body. But the field of psychological health is incredibly complicated and the theories involved are enormous. For example, there is a substantial literature on the ratio between positive and negative experiences. A healthy ratio is three to one, but if this ratio is higher than 11, then substantial problems are present.

This study is the first of its kind to assess the impact of the pandemic on university students’ psychological health. The study looked at how students’ lives before and after the epidemic had a marked impact on their daily customs and relationships. It provides information on changes in psychological health among university students over a year. Despite the fact that the pandemic was widespread, students have faced remarkable levels of stress and psychological suffering, even though the number of interpersonal relationships has decreased.

Psychological disorders affect around 40 million Americans annually. They are divided into several categories, including generalized anxiety disorder, panic disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and phobic disorders. Phobias are intense fears that are compelled to a series of rituals. People with phobias fear dirt and contamination. While people with OCD suffer from excessive attention to order, they experience persistent intrusive thoughts.

The DHS should ensure all its employees have access to psychological health support. In particular, it should provide each component agency with a licensed mental health care provider who specializes in the particular stressors faced by employees. Additionally, the DHS should implement formal peer support policies for employees. Peer supporters should receive effective training and regular refresher training. In addition, it should incorporate quality improvement processes into the implementation of psychological health programs. Additionally, it may consider involving an external organization in these evaluations.
